An illustration is an art form that creates interest, communicates visually, and helps a viewer or reader interpret the subject better. It is an art to add visual interest to a story, poem, legend, or historical narrative. Since millennia, illustrations have enhanced and added emotion, expression, and imaginative wonder. With early examples of rock art images that continue to inspire artists, we find innumerable sources of exemplary art in manuscripts, books, and monuments across the world that provide a rich source of illustrative imagery. The portrayal being individual at times or collective.
Illustrative art continues to hold the attention of a reader or viewer having retained its value of both technique and artistry. In modern times, illustrations are an integral part of newspapers, magazines, other print media, films, and web content. It has evolved, often establishing an identity that is unique to the individual rendering and style of an artist.
The panel discussion would deliberate upon the experiential process and artistic journey of each participant artist, types of creative illustration, limitations and advantages of the digital medium, the recognition of illustrations as art forms and delve into the probable impact of Alternative Intelligence.

Synopsis: This film is based on the biography of the great legendary tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda. One of the lesser-known aspects of our fight against British rule is that of the tribal uprisings which constituted an important part of the defiance of the colonial regime. Birsa Munda was an outstanding representative of one such movement in the late 19th century in Jharkhand State, who initiated a unique phase of our freedom struggle. Many such revolutions erupted against the Britishers. India's first war of independence of 1857, had already sowed the seeds of the freedom struggle which had far reaching implications in the years to come. The feature film Ulgulan-Ek Kranti was shot after 10 years of in-depth research. The film was shot in the real spots where Birsa's life and activities were associated.

A story of two likable
thieves, Kena and Becha
who jump into a river to
escape being caught.
They wash up on the
shores of a strange land
 a land where buying
and selling are alien
concepts. The entire
community works together
to produce what they
need and everything
belongs to everyone.
Kena and Becha are
excited at the
opportunity this land
has to offer. What
follows are humorous and
thought-provoking
misadventures arising
out of Kena and Becha
not understanding the
concept of no money in
this land. In this play,
Sircar depicts his
socio-political and
economic outlook with
the creation of a
utopian land, beyond our
real society full of
disparities. Asking us,
Can there be a place
where there is no
concept of money, where
everyone is content with
their choices and are
happy?

Jayasimha. C, holds a Masters' degree graduation in printmaking from Chitrakala Parishath. He is the co-founder and manager of "Atelier Prati", the only independently run printmaking studio in Bangalore. He currently teaches printmaking at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. He has worked closely with several artists and art institutions like 'Rangashankara' and 'Maraa' as an art director and designer. He has facilitated several printmaking workshops for young practitioners as well as independent artists. His key interest is in print media and visual arts; and he is currently exploring "time, memory, influences and metaphors through objects" in his work. He also designs and builds custom-made presses for educational institutions and individual artists. Behind his concern to be identified as a printmaker lies Jayasimha's preparedness to make prints as well as install presses to a wider mass. This hints at his preparedness to take the intricate and sophisticated nuances of contemporary cultural and curatorial practices, head-on.

The film is a meditation on the act of walking through the lives of three principal characters: Kumar, a photojournalist, Neelu, a salesgirl in a shoe shop and Amaresha, an elderly prisoner. The camera records the everyday experiences of the three characters, the minute details they observe, and their sense of time and place. Moving between dream and reality, the film is an exploration of the inner and outer landscapes they encounter.
Babu Eshwar Prasad trained as an artist, completing his graduation and post-graduation in painting and printmaking in the early 1990s, the latter from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M S University, Vadodara. He has held several exhibitions since 1996 Apart from painting, Prasad has sustained a deep interest in exploring other media like sculpture, sound, photography, and above all video and film. His short videos have been screened at various venues. In 2014 Prasad made his first feature film Gaalibeeja (Wind Seed). India's first war of independence of 1857, had already sowed the seeds of the freedom struggle which had far-reaching implications in the years to come. The feature film Ulgulan-Ek Kranti was shot after 10 years of in-depth research. The film was shot in the real spots where Birsa's life and activities were associated.

NAVAGRAHA
Ms. Yamini Muthanna along with her senior dancers and Yoga practitioners will present this Choreography
celebrating INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2022
on Tuesday, 21st June 2022 at 6.00 pm
" Navagraha " is a dance production that distinguishes itself as a unique presentation, because of its subject which is a blend of both Yoga and Bharatanatyam. The choreography starts with a traditional salutation to the Adi Deva "Surya '' with Surya Namaskar mingling with a beautiful piece of traditional Alaripu which shows the brilliance of the Sun - Surya Alaripu. The Choreography moves on with the Salutations to the Chandra with Chandra Namaskara from the Yoga traditions. The choreography then moves to present beautiful asanas, telling interesting stories featuring the movement of the other 7 Grahas. The music is traditional, which intermingles Vedic Mantras with the Rhythms of the Jathis and Swaras making it very lively and powerful. The production takes the audience through a complete experience of how the body is connected to the nature of the universe, and the energy channels of the body called the "nadis" are connected to the constellation called the "Navagraha"
In summary, the practice of Yoga Asanas becomes a healing experience because of the movement in these Nadies which are governed by the Grahas.

Synopsis: This film is based on the biography of the great legendary
tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda. One of the lesser-known aspects of our
fight against British rule is that of the tribal uprisings which
constituted an important part of the defiance of the colonial regime.
Birsa Munda was an outstanding representative of one such movement in the
late 19th century in Jharkhand State, who initiated a unique phase of our
freedom struggle. Many such revolutions erupted against the Britishers.
India's first war of independence of 1857, had already sowed the seeds of
the freedom struggle which had far reaching implications in the years to
come. The feature film Ulgulan-Ek Kranti was shot after 10 years of
in-depth research. The film was shot in the real spots where Birsa's life
and activities were associated.
