NGMA Bengaluru, in collaboration with India Post, is inaugurating "Philately Exhibition" at its venue on Thursday, 9th October 2014 at 5.30 pm commemorating World Postal Day. Shri M.S. Ramanujan, IPoS, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Postal Circle, Bangalore has kindly consented to inaugurate the exhibition. The exhibition will be on view till 30th October 2014.

In conjunction with the exhibition, NGMA has also organised a Talk by Shri M.S. Ramu, Senior Philatelist on Sunday, 12th October 2014 at 11.00 am.

"NGMA Bengaluru inaugurating the exhibition titled Visual Archives of Kulwant Roy, curated by Aditya Arya, at its premises 

on Friday, 10th October 2014 at 6.00 pm. The exhibition will be on view till 11th November 2014 except on Mondays.   

NGMA is also holding parallel outreach programmes such as workshops, talks etc., in conjunction with the exhibition as per details given in the e-invite.

Admission to the workshops will be on registration basis by e-mail only and on first come first serve basis as mentioned below: 

1. Registration for the three day workshop on  'City as a Darkroom' from 14th to 16th October 2014, will start on 9th October at 10 am and close on 11th October 2014 at 5 pm.

2. Registration for the one day workshop on 'An introduction to Documentary Photography' on 19th October 2014, will start on 15th October 2014 at 10 am and close on 17th October 2014 at 5 pm."

On the occasion of India's 68th Independence day, NGMA Bengaluru is presenting an exhibition 'India and Art during Independence: Creation of a National Identity', curated by NGMA Bengaluru.

This exhibition aims to showcase 'Revivalism', an art movement started by Abanindranath Tagore in the early 1900s and the artists of the Bengal School.

NGMA Bengaluru also introduces 'Weekend Family Walks' in conjunction with the Exhibition

on 23rd, 24th 30th and 31st August 2014 on registration basis. NGMA will take upto three families (10 members per family) on first come first serve basis.
